The Scripts menu

The Scripts menu gives you some basic options related to scripting, and allows you to store frequently used scripts. Any script in your MacSQL scripts folder will be listed in the menu. This folder is located in Your Home Directory/Library/Scripts/MacSQL.

For more information on the Scripts menu, see the topics below.

Scripting Commands

The following commands are always listed in the Scripts menu:

Open Script Editor Launches your selected script editor, or if it is already running, brings it to the front. You can specify your script editor in Preferences.
Open Scripting Dictionary Launches your selected script editor, or if it is already running, brings it to the front with the MacSQL scripting dictionary visible. The scripting dictionary shows you the objects and commands you can script MacSQL with.

Your scripts

After the standard scripting commands, the scripts menu lists the scripts in your MacSQL scripts folder. Items can be nested up to 3 levels deep, with folders shown as sub-menus. Selecting a script name from the menu will execute that script. If you hold down the command key while selecting a script name, that script will be opened for editing.
