Helpers

The helpers preferences allows you to specify what applications MacSQL will use to help with certain tasks. If you do not specify a helper, the default application for that file type will be used.

Export file creator

This preference allows you to specify what application will be opened if you double click on a file exported as text.

Script editor

When editing AppleScripts, MacSQL prefers to have you edit them in a full-fledged script editor. You can specify that script editor here. If the selected program cannot be found, MacSQL will provide a very basic text editor for you to edit the script.
