Preferences
The general preferences allow you to adjust other aspects of MacSQL.
They are pictured below:
- At startup:
- This option allows you to choose what action MacSQL will take when the application starts.
You can choose to be prompted for a new connection, prompted to open a previously saved
document, or do nothing.
- Network timeout
- This preference specifies the number of seconds MacSQL will wait
on a response from the network. If a query takes longer than this to perform,
it will be aborted. If zero is entered in this field, network operations will
never timeout.
- Enable Logging
- This preference allows MacSQL to log various events including errors and other unusual
conditions to help with troubleshooting issues. You are also given the option to log all
queries, including imbedded and hidden queries. This option is not reccomended unless you
are asked to enable it by Runtime Labs technical support.
- Remember Open Documents
- When enabled, MacSQL will remember what documents were open (that had previously
been saved). The next time MacSQL is launched, it will open those documents.
- Autofill Failed Connection Information
- When this option is active, information about a failed connection attempt, minus password
information, will be filled in to a new connection window so that erroneous information can be
corrected.
