FileMaker Pro Synchronization

Synchronization options

By default, MacSQL will only copy values from the source to the destination. If a matching record is not found, no action will be taken. If you would like records not found in the destination to be added, check the Add unmatched records from source checkbox.

If the destination database should be an exact copy of the source, check the Delete all destination records before synchronization checkbox and MacSQL will make a pristine copy of the source in the destination.

When connecting via AppleScript, you have the option to specify which records will be synchronized. Select either All or Current Found Set to specify which records you would like to synchronize.

Error handling

Select what MacSQL should do if an error occurs during the synchronization. For servers with transaction support, the entire synchronization can be wrapped in a transaction that will be rolled-back on error. Otherwise, MacSQL can ignore errors or stop at the first error.
