FileMaker Pro Synchronization

Mapping FileMaker Pro fields to SQL columns

In this step, you will specify which FileMaker fields map to which SQL columns, and if you'd like that field/column combination to be synchronized. This step is very similar to importing data into FileMaker Pro.

Drag & drop a row to move the SQL columns to match the appropriate FileMaker Field. Click the image in the Use column to toggle between using that field/column (arrow) or skipping it (line).

The first time you come to this step, the Assistant will try to automatically map as many fields and columns as it can.

You should take care to map fields to columns of a similar data type. MacSQL will try to convert the data as necessary, but errors will be reported if, for instance, you try to map a date field in FileMaker Pro to a decimal column.
