FileMaker Pro Synchronization

MacSQL includes the FileMaker Pro Assistant, which can help you synchronize data between a FileMaker Pro database and a SQL Table. Select FileMaker Assistant from the Query menu to start the assistant.

The FileMaker Assistant walks you through the process of creating a set of mappings that tell MacSQL how to synchronize the databases. You can save frequently used mappings so you don't have to walk through the entire process each time you want to synchronize.

FileMaker Pro Synchronization consists of the following steps:

Selecting a direction and (optionally) loading a mapping
Choosing connection method
Remote connection information
Selecting the local FileMaker Pro database
Selecting the SQL table
Selecting the key field to synchronize on
Mapping FileMaker Pro fields to SQL columns
Synchronization options
Error handling
Optionally saving the mappings
Performing the synchronization
